Family Service Agency Executive Director Tynisha Clegg was named the 2026 recipient of the Evelyn Wright Moore Award for Innovation Excellence, Wipfli’s highest honor recognizing innovative leadership in federally funded nonprofit and human services organizations. The award also included a $20,000 investment in FSA to support continued innovation and community-centered services.

Family Service Agency has achieved national reaccreditation through the Council on Accreditation (COA), earning an expedited Pre-Commission Review after receiving no out-of-compliance ratings in any fundamental practice standards. The rigorous review evaluated more than 500 practice areas, affirming FSA’s commitment to quality, accountability, and nationally recognized best practices.

Family Service Agency's Youth Programming opened DeKalb County’s first Homeless Youth and Transitional Living Shelter, creating a dedicated source of safety and support for youth ages 14–24 experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. The program provides shelter, stability, guidance, and resources to help young people build a path forward.

Family Service Agency’s Community Action Program was honored at the NCAP Annual Conference in Detroit with the Pathways to Excellence Bronze Tier and the 2025 Promise in Action Award. FSA was one of only two Community Action agencies nationwide to receive the Promise in Action Award, recognizing the team’s commitment to standing with individuals and families in times of crisis.
