Walk to End Child Abuse
Walk to End Child Abuse occurs in April every year in honor of National Child Abuse Awareness Month. The Children's Advocacy Center organizes the walk, a raffle, and a t-shirt design contest. All proceeds from this event benefit children in the DeKalb County community through awareness, support, education, and prevention.
2023
The 13th Annual Walk to End Child Abuse will be held Saturday, April 1st, 2023!
We are very excited to host our walk in person for the first time in two years! Join us at the Sycamore High School Field House; we will leave the Field House and walk to the DeKalb County Courthouse and place pinwheels in the grass. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided. All proceeds from this event stay local and benefit DeKalb County children through awareness, advocacy, and prevention. Take a stance against child abuse and create a team, meet us on April 1st to walk, listen to speakers, eat breakfast, and raise awareness in our community. Your decision to participate allows children the opportunity to speak their truth and receive the listening ear they deserve! #SpeakYourTruth
